When Blizzard China’s general manager Ye Weilun withdrew from his post, it was realized that the leaked four-year release schedule had to have some truth to it, and as it turns out, it did.
During a red carpet interview at the VGAs, Blizzard’s senior vice president Frank Pearce confirmed that Titan, which was at that moment only a rumored MMO mentioned on that list, is in fact real, even though “the media is not supposed to know anything about that.”
“It’s our next-gen MMO project. We’ve only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we’re working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting, getting some of the best talent in the industry on that project,” added Pearce.
Now we know it’s happening, and if we’re to go by the release schedule, Titan should be out by 2014, alongside a fifth World of Warcraft expansion.
