Need for Speed World crosses the three million users line

Hot Pursuit may be doing good business for EA, but their free-to-play racer Need for Speed World is no slouch either; three million people have signed up to the game. That’s a growth of two million since September. I guess the cars aren’t the only fast thing in this game.

To celebrate developer Black Box have added some new features. First off is new customization options, allowing players to tune their cars. On top of that there’s a new night mode to change things up from the constant sunlight. Plus, the game’s now been localized for France, Russia, Spain and Poland markets.

That should be enough to keep people racing for free a good while longer.
