Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is bound to be one of the more impressive titles on the market to support 3D when it launches in November next year, but it won’t be making use of Sony’s other big thing; the Move.
In the latest issue of Edge Naughty Dog co-president Christophe Balestra and game director Justin Richmond were quizzed on if Sony had put any pressure on them to use the motion controller. Balestra replied: “Sony’s never said that to us. They’re not telling us we have to use Sixaxis or Move. They’ll say it’d be nice, of course, but they’re not going to go against our judgement if we say it’s not the right thing to do.”
Move might have a hard time fitting into the world of Nathan Drake, so it’s probably best left out. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune used the Sixaxis controller to aim grenades, but that feature was ditched for Among Thieves.
Richmond also added: “They’re always going to ask us to put all their crazy stuff in there and see if it works, but they accept it when it doesn’t.”
