Tomb Raider Trilogy listed for PS3, confirmed by Crystal Dynamics

According to a recent listing on Amazon.de, it would look like PlayStation 3 owners are in for yet another HD remake/collection, which in this case seems to be the Tomb Raider Trilogy.

The German online retailer lists Tomb Raider Legend, Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld as part of the collection, all in high definition, not unlike the already released Prince of Persia Trilogy and the upcoming Splinter Cell Trilogy, confirmed just recently.

After reading the reports on the internet, Crystal Dynamics’ global brand director Karl Stewart confirmed the listing to be true on his Twitter, explaining: “yes, it’s official.¬†#TombRaider PS3 ‘Trilogy’ pack coming in the new year. Full details next week.”

While PS3 owners might be getting bored of these remakes rather than getting something new, it would make a fitting ending to the franchise as we know it, especially with a new, younger Tomb Raider in Lara Croft on her way to rebooting the franchise.
