PSN at 60 million users worldwide

Sony’s presentation at CES 2011 didn’t hold much in the way of PlayStation news but the company did let slip a few interesting facts and figures. One of these being that there are now 60 million registered PlayStation Network members across the world.

It was last CES that Sony announced they had reached 38 million users, with 50 million achieved in June last year. In contrast, Microsoft announced they currently had 30 million registered Xbox Live users. Best remember though that PSN is free and you don’t even need a PS3 to have an account.

All those members and still no one will play Unreal Tournament III with me.
