For the west, the 3DS still seems like a far off dream with mysterious, no-glasses powers and a line-up of games that seems too good to be true. Japan on the other hand get their mits on it in just over a month’s time. Not fair, is it?
But as the first launch edges closer we are getting more and more information on the device. Perhaps the most important news of all? What games will be available on the Japanese release.
Eight games will launch with the system. Just one of these, Nintendogs + Cats is published by Nintendo, with the rest being 3rd party. The hardcore’s best bet is probably with Super Street Fighter IV3D and Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. For everyone else there’s Winning Eleven 3DSoccer, Combat of Giant Dinosaur 3D, Samurai Warriors Chronicle, Puzzle Bobble 3D, and Ridge Racer 3D.
Not the most exciting of line ups (apart from the awesome sounding Combat of Giant Dinosaur 3D) but that library is going to get a lot stronger in the coming months. Prices range from 4800 yen ($57) to 6090 yen ($73), with the 3DS itself going at 25000 yen ($306).
