Several PS3 games have launched on disc as well as the PSN: Warhawk, SOCOM Confrontation, and Siren Blood Curse are just a few examples of this. Add Mass Effect 2 to that list; BioWare’s sci-fi RPG will launch on PSN as well as retail on January 18th. Not only that but PS Plus members will get the option to download the full game and have complete access to it for a whole 60 minutes as part of the full game trial.
On disc, Mass Effect 2 will come with a bunch of free DLC, which will be bundled into the PSN release too. It’ll be interesting to compare the sales figures for both versions later down the line.
