F.E.A.R. 3 adding divergent co-op, explained in latest trailer

F.E.A.R. 3 has been delayed, treated with a Collector’s Edition and the latest update to hit the installment is a new co-op trailer. And we love co-op, especially when it doesn’t necessarily mean you and your buddy will be helping each other out to complete the game.

The trailer embedded above does a much better job at explaining the “divergent” co-op mode, as the developers are calling it, than we ever could, but for the sake of keeping you informed, and spoiled, here are the basics of it: what makes F.E.A.R. 3’s co-op match up of Point Man and Paxton Fettel unique is the possibility to inflict pain upon your enemies as a duo, a unit, with your individual and distinct powers and abilities, but also on your co-op buddy, which will bring very different results to your game.

F.E.A.R. 3 is set to release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on, as of yesterday, May 2011.
