Officially revealed earlier today, Nintendo’s 3DS is barely clear of its technological amniotic fluid and already additional services and partners are being announced. The newest handheld will not only be able to provide a three-dimensional gaming experience, but it will also bring UK consumers mobile 3D video content.
Nintendo says that while they are in talks with several different partners about special video content, they have come to an agreement with others, including Sky, Aardman Animations, and the EuroSport network. EuroSport will, of course, provide sports related content while Sky has agreed to bring “short form” 3D content. With the sporting and episodic content covered, Aardman Animations – best known for Wallace & Gromit – will be creating exclusive Shaun the Sheep short episodes, available only on the 3DS.
