Shortly following the latest trailer of Dead or Alive: Dimensions‘ Metroid-themed stage, some speculation was thrown around about heroine Samus Aran appearing in the game as a playable character. With a female Spartan appearing as a playable character in Dead or Alive 4 and Team Ninja’s Metroid: Other M on the streets, a playable Samus definitely seemed possible if not likely. Sadly, it looks like that wish will remain a speculation.
Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi spoke about the matter himself, saying “This time she’s not playable. But Samus Aran will be shown in the game. She comes to help the player.”
It looks like players will have to settle with a cameo on this one.
