There’s not just going to be one SKU of Sony’s Next Generation Portable; Sony Computer Entertainment Europe President Andrew House has revealed that there will be two models, one with and one without 3G functionality.
House told Eurogamer: “The first thing to clarify, which I’m not sure the presentation did a perfect job of doing today, is that all of the devices will have wi-fi capability; a separate SKU will have 3G,”
Wi-fi is available in both models, which House noted as an important feature. Sounds like you’ll have to shell out more money if you want the benefits of 3G though. Despite this, the SCEE Pres promised “affordable” pricing for NGP. We’re not sure if our definition of affordable is the same as Sony’s just yet though.
