Shortly before Free Radical was bought up by Crytek and turned into Crytek UK the team had been heavily teasing TimeSplitters 4.
Since the buyout though they’ve been working on Crysis 2, putting the future of the Splitters sequel in question. Could we see it once Crysis 2 is out the door? “Yeah, we have been discussing it,” Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told CVG, “but nothing has been confirmed yet, so let’s see after Crysis 2.”
Yerli held his UK team in high regard: “I love working with our UK friends. The team has been performing up to the quality bar easily. Our thinking was that the team had done 80-85 rated games, and we thought that with the right technology, IP and global IP direction they could reach the 90 barrier. I’m very confident that they can do that.”
Let’s hope for more monkey-blasting, time traveling action as soon as Crysis 2 is done.
