Concrete details surrounding David O. Russell’s Uncharted film remain few and far between, but the director behind the adored The Fighter has offered a bit more.
In an interview with Empire, O. Russell spoke about casting Elena, Drake’s love interest.
“Ah, Elena. I’ve cultivated her quite a bit and I think I’ve added a lot of dimension to her so that’s all I’m going to say. I love the woman characters and the more robust they are, the more robust the movie,” he said.
He also offered a tease as to who he sees as playing the character on the silver screen.
“Oh I would love that too, I love Amy [Adams]. I also love Scarlett Johansson; there’s a lot of great actors I think might suit,” he said. ”Hopefully, we’ll see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role…”
