Enslaved wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but with a colorful presentation, gripping plot, and the decision to stray away from unnecessary multiplayer we had high hopes for Ninja Theory’s action adventure title.
Sadly the game has performed pretty poorly at retail, shipping just over half of the 800,000 estimated in a November report. 460,000 copies of the game have been sold, which isn’t a whole lot. Obviously it doesn’t bode well for the future of the franchise either, but there’s still some hope.
Ninja Theory aren’t in any real trouble though; they’re currently at work on Capcom’s DmC: Devil May Cry which will help them find their feet. Monkey and Trip may well be as doomed as the world they live in, though.
