ICO novel being translated for your reading pleasure

It’s interesting that of all the videogames out there, ICO, a game with a complete lack of words should get a novelisation. In fact it got one a while ago, but only in Japan.

But put that translation book away (unless it has a direct translation for ‘small boy with horn-hat armed with stick’), the novel is being translated for the rest of us to read. Viz Media will be handling the translation of Miyabe Miyuki’s book, which is a non-canonical interpretation of the game.

The novel is set to ship on July 19th. Perhaps that means we’ll be seeing The ICO Collection around the same time?
