As was rumored, a Halo: Combat Evolved re-make is believed to be out on the Xbox 360 by year’s end.
The news stems from a source speaking with Joystiq, who said the game won’t simply run at a higher resolution, but that’s it’s being made with entirely new assets.
The source says the game is being developed by New Jersey-based Saber Interactive, the fine folks who brought us TimeShift and the upcoming Inversion.
The title is expected to sport 1080p visuals and has 3D support for those with an enabled television. Multiplayer details are still “being worked out,” but the remake is expected to feature online co-op.
As for a release date, the unnamed remake is pegged to debut on Nov. 15, 2011, which is ten years after the original Halo: Combat Evolved hit the original Xbox.
