First Battlefield 3 add-on outed

Battlefield 3 looks to be getting a Limited Edition, which, of course, packs some extra goodies.

A supposedly leaked graphic for the PC version of the DICE shooter details the SKU, revealing a Back to Karkland multiplayer map collection — a “themed expansion pack” they call it — consisting of four favorites from Battlefield 2 re-imagined on the new Frostbite 2 engine. That means ramped up visuals, physics and destruction.

Expect classic BF2 weaponry and vehicles as well, along with “unique rewards, Achievements/Trophies and more.”

Non-LE purchasers will be able to get the throwback content via download about a month after the game’s release, for a yet-to-be-specified content.

Battlefield 3 was formally revealed last week with a scratchy video teaser. Catch up here in case you missed it.
