Nintendo asks you to compare 3DS battery to other high-res devices

The battery life for the 3DS has been a bit of a downer when stacked against the rest of the system’s specs. At just 3 – 5 hours, fans are a little upset that it won’t hold out any longer.

The big N sees the problem differently though; marketing manager James Honeywell asked BeefJack to see it through their eyes, saying: “If you look at other high-resolution portable devices, which is probably a better comparison than other portable gaming systems, three to five hours of intensive use is not an unreasonable battery life.”

Still, it’s not going to see me through my flight to Japan, is it Nintendo? If I were going to Japan, I mean. But if I were, it would be to complain to Iwata about the battery life.
