Former EA, Bethesda, Sony Online devs ignite new studio

Idea Fabrik might not be a name too common in the ears of gamers, but the fact is that the tech company owns Simutronics’ HeroEngine which actually powers a game that clearly resonates with gamers worldwide; BioWare’s upcoming MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

In an effort to make it more than that, IF has reportedly hired members from high-profile studios across the industry, including Electronic Arts, Bethesda Softworks and Sony Online, to manage their new studio called Second Star Interactive.

While info on what’s cooking at SSI is scarce at this moment, an online game launching “later this year” seems to be what is known and judging by the mentioned gathering of talents, we’re eager to learn more about it sooner rather than later.
