Duke Nukem Forever will use Steamworks

Duke’s been out of the ass-kicking game for 12 years, but he still knows how to make an entrance. 2K and Gearbox revealed that one of Duke’s domains will be Steamworks for PC. That means no disc needed in order to play, regardless of where you’ve picked up the game. That also means Steamworks will be used to dole out DLC, patch updates and manage DRM.

Duke Nukem Forever gets the multi-platform treatment when it’s launched on May 3 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
