With its successor, the NGP, on the rise, the end is nigh for Sony’s PSP. The first sign that the system is reaching the finish line? A price drop. PSP-3000’s will start selling at $129.99 come February 27, Sony’s announced. The 3000 is the most recent model of the classic system setup, not to be confused with the PSPGo with offered a new design and no UMD slot.
New games will also be added to Sony’s Greatest Hits line, including Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Dissidia: Final Fantasy, which will now be available for $19.99. It might be a good time to catch up on some of the better games on the handheld, then.
