Improving Dragon Age II’s graphics, especially on consoles, was a priority for BioWare this time around.
PC is no exception, and for an extra boost, BioWare brings word that PC gamers can start downloading a hi-res texture pack that will “add the option to enable higher detail replacements for most textures in game.” It also points out “a big difference will be noticed on level art especially.”
You’ll need a graphics card with at least 1024MB video memory in order to take advantage of the hi-res goodies. Most benefits will only be noticed you’re running the game in DirectX 11.
The game’s out in North America today, with Europe following on Friday.
