You have to hand it to Microsoft; Kinect is a hit. The controller-free motion device has sold incredibly well and broken records, as the company has recently boasted.
“We just announced that 10 Million Kinect Sensors and more than 10 Million Kinect Games have sold to date,” Microsoft’s interactive entertainment head Aaron Greenberg alerts via Twitter.
Not only that, but Guinness World Records have revealed that the sensor has become the fastest-selling consumer electronics device… ever. It beats Apple’s iPhone and iPad, selling 8 million units in its first 60 days on sale from 4 November 2010 to 3 January 2011. That makes Skittles one rich tiger.
