Bloomberg is reporting that Microsoft won’t be developing any new Zune models for future release. Instead the company is now focused on converting the hardware into software for mobile phones, offering a music and TV service there.
The Zune was, of course, meant to snap Apple’s iPod in two, but failed to do so. Microsoft are yet to officially announce the discontinuation of the device, but really, when was the last time you even heard about the Zune? This brand has been pretty dead for a long time now, this was kind of expected.
