iPad 2 was meant to go head-to-head with a 3DS launch in the UK next week, with both devices landing on March 25. Nintendo may be able to breathe easy though, as reports are suggesting that US demand and the Japanese earthquake crisis may well delay the UK release of the tablet.
There are apparently several key components of the iPad 2 that are sourced in Japan, where the device has already seen a delay. On top of that US demand has been larger than expected (at least to Apple, that is), with around a million units already sold and people backed up on a four-week waiting list.
Don’t be surprised if official news follows shortly, then.
