Just recently there was some talk started by an Italian interviewer revolving around a possible multiplayer aspect to the upcoming survival-horror game, Silent Hill: Downpour. In response to all the hub-a-loo, producer Devin Shatsky spoke out today to say that there is no such thing, although a multiplayer mode was considered at one point.
“Whoever that Italian interviewer was either took Radeks comments completely out of context, or it was lost in translation,” Shatsky said. “As previously mentioned, we were (many moons ago) investigating a separate Multiplayer mode, but that was quickly extinguished when we costed it out and determined how much resource time it would detract from the core singleplayer experience.”
Looks like only time will tell if the Silent Hill franchise will ever get a multiplayer feature. At least we have Left 4 Dead.
