Just because Kratos is exclusive to the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat doesn’t mean that 360 fans have to miss out on all the fun.
Executive producer Ed Boon dropped a few hints to Giant Bomb, suggesting that a 360 exclusive character may well be headed to the game. He began by saying how much of the game was still under wraps: “I don’t remember the last time we were this far along in a game and we had still major stuff to announce for it. So, not all the characters have been announced; on purpose we really wanted to have a lot of stuff that people won’t know about the game – to me, I’ve always wanted to have a question mark over the game; what’s hidden in the game; there’s a ton of hidden stuff in the game.”
Given the already sizeable roster and mini game mode, it’s gobsmacking to hear that the game has even more content to uncover. A second hint was much more direct toward the 360 version, though: “Well, there’s nothing that we have ready to announce but we love our 360 players and we love our PS3 players and I think everybody’s gonna get something they’ll be happy with.”
Obviously this means you’ll be able to bring your 360 avatar into Kombat. Each one has a finisher that involves dressing your opponent up and then ripping out their heart. Obviously.
