Gothic 4 expansion release uncertain as JoWood gets into legal problems

It’s a bad time for JoWood and their latest project, Arcania Gothic 4. Due to “diverse legal positions” with German investor BVT the latest expansion for the game has been put on indefinite delay. It was originally on for a launch this Friday, March 25.

The released statement, quoted above, also points out that it is “unclear” if the expansion will be released at all anymore. This may also prove to be bad news for the as of yet unreleased PS3 version of the game.

JoWood filed for bankruptcy in January of this year. Reportedly two investors are still interested in the company.
