Bubble Island and Monster World developer Wooga has found great success creating games for Facebook. The social games team has just reached 20 million monthly users, making it the fourth biggest developer on the site.
Having been formed a little under two years ago, Wooga has quickly shot past big Facebook names like PopCap or the Disney-owned Playdom. Their latest project, Diamond Dash, picked up an extra three million users in the last month.
Jens Begemann, founder and CEO of Berlin-based Wooga said: “Capturing 20 million active users in just 20 months and surpassing Playdom to become number four in the world is a stunning accomplishment. We will remain focused on producing high quality games with a unique game experience for the future. With our ambitious team, we aim to become number two by the end of this year.”
Congrats to Wooga then, for both their success and their awesome name.
