Creator of the wildly popular sandbox indie title Minecraft, Marcus “Notch” Persson, informed earlier through his blog that the rather significant 1.5 beta patch that was supposed to enhance the game this week with features such as weather effects, stats and achievements, has been delayed, but just slightly. Instead, it’s promised to come out “next week.”
“We were aiming at releasing 1.5 this week, but no,” wrote Persson. “There’s been significant feature creep so we don’t have time to get it out this week. But next week!”
That’s cool. And you know why? Because “lightning hitting a pig will turn it into a zombie pigman.” That’s why.
