While getting hammered critically, Backbreaker has clearly done enough to warrant a console sequel… sort of. Backbreaker: Vengeance is on its way to Xbox Live, ditching all but one of its modes.
The downloadable game will focus on the Tackle Alley mode from the last game, which was one of the more popular features. The mode sees you dodging obstacles to get to the end zone. It was so well liked that Backbreaker 2: Vengeance released on iPhone last year, offering an expanded version of the mode.
Above footage shows what to expect; sliding, tackling, jumping, cheering… not much actual football though.
Developed by NaturalMotion and 505 Games, Vengeance launches later in the year.
