LBP2 brings user community levels over the four million mark

In the run up to LittleBigPlanet 2 Media Molecule were boasting that some three million levels had been created for the original game, all of which would carry over to the sequel. In the short few months that LittleBigPlanet 2 has been out though the game has already managed to push another million levels on top of this.

The PlayStation Blog has announced that exactly 4,141,742 levels have been published as of last Friday. Clearly the new tools are proving to be very popular. Media Molecule offered a short statement regarding the milestone, saying: “For us the most exciting thing has always been seeing what the community does with a LittleBigPlanet game when they get their hands on the new features and tools. We’re constantly delighted – and amazed – by their ingenuity and creativity, and it’s so inspiring to see the level of affection that exists for LittleBigPlanet amongst fans around the world.”

The blog also lists some upcoming DLC along with the contraption challenge that proved to be rather awesome in the last game.
