Update: As it turns out, the demo is not a demo per se, informs EA. Bach’s “yes” referred to the planned beta that’ll be launching later this year… the very one players get access to by owning a copy of Medal of Honor.
Original story: During a recent interview, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach let loose info on a demo coming out prior to Battlefield 3‘s release this fall. An actual date was not given, which makes sense since giving one away would narrow down the game’s release window quite a bit. And we wouldn’t want that, would we? It’s not like we’re longing to experience this for ourselves, right?
While Bach offered a resonating and distinctive “Yes!” to the question if there was going to be a demo, he wouldn’t give up any details on it whatsoever. Though, considering both Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 had multiplayer demos hit online ahead of their release, it would be an educated guess to assume Battlefield 3 will receive the same treatment.
