BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic–which doesn’t yet have a release date–is pegged to grab 1 million subscribers in its first year, says an analyst.
“We suspect a willingness from investors to believe [500,000] to 1 million Star Wars MMO subscribers is an attainable target,” wrote Janco Partners’ Mike Hickey.
Further, Hickey believes The Old Republic could generate $161.9 million in total sales in its first 12 months, with $108.5 million coming directly from digital sales.
EA will provide its latest financial report on May 4. Perhaps then we will learn of a release date for the game.
