Following a quiet week for UK charts, a bucket load of new releases has shaken up the the list in the last seven days, with Valve’s Portal 2 edging out the competition and taking the top spot. That makes it the developer’s first ever number 1 across all formats; robo-high five!
That leaves the two spot for Mortal Kombat‘s taking, which it does in bloody style. Expecting either Operation Flashpoint: Red River or SOCOM 4 to come in third place? You’re way off; the juggernaut that is Call of Duty: Black Ops claims that position for its own, with Zumba Fitness following at four. We like to imagine Atlus and P-Body making a portal between the first and fourth spot and pushing Zumba through but that’s probably not what happened.
Neither new entry makes it to five either; LEGO Star Wars III sits there leaving Red River to finally come in at six. The usual suspects (FIFA 11, Crysis 2 etc) fill up the rest, meaning no top 10 for Zipper’s tactical shooter. No top 20 either, and only very nearly in the top 30; coming in at 28. Ouch.
