Having had quite an amazing week and a half with the ongoing PSN outage and identity theft crisis, Sony are now starting to pick up the pieces of situation, starting with finding those responsible.
Reports are coming in that the electronics giant has gone to the San Diego office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s cybercrimes unit in search of help. The FBI are reportedly looking into the matter, as are Canadian authorities that are requesting information from Sony.
“We are currently looking into this matter and are seeking information from Sony,” a spokesperson for the Canadian privacy Commissioner said. “We will determine next steps once we have a full understanding of the incident.”
Let’s all give a secret “go get em!” to these authorities while we cancel our credit cards and change our passwords.
