Two new games from tri-Ace

The developers behind some rather excellent Japanese titles, tri-Ace, have announced two new projects that they’re currently at work on, both to be published by Konami. Jap mag Famitsu revealed both titles.

Up first from the Star Ocean devs is Frontier Gate for PSP. This is a Monster Hunter-like game that features old school turn-based battles mixed in with new school three-player co-op. That’s due out in Japan later this year.

Meanwhile, Beyond the Labyrinth plays out as a dungeon crawling RPG. No word  release dates for this one, but it’s coming from Takayuki Suguro, the director of Resonance of Fate and Valkyrie Profile 2, and will grace the 3DS.
