Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division has grown 60 percent year-over-year, the company’s latest earnings show.
It comes as little surprise given the year the 360 has had, with a cheaper, sleeker new model launching along with Kinect. As the announcement states: “Entertainment & Devices Division grew 60% year-over-year, fueled by Kinect for Xbox 360, the fastest-selling consumer electronics device in history, continued strong Xbox 360 console sales and growth of Xbox Live.”
All in all it’s been a pretty great generation for Microsoft; Kinect is just the icing on the cake. Every time Sony seems to be on the up though, something bad happens, something very bad in this instance.
