It’s not exactly turning out Call of Duty numbers, not that anyone expected it to, but THQ’s Homefront has performed quite well for the publisher, shipping 2.6 million units to date. The company announced the news in yesterday’s fourth quarter fiscal results call.
Notice the word “shipping”; we’re not sure how many units have been sold past the initial reports of a million. President and CEO Brian Farrell commented that: “THQ posted strong fourth quarter results primarily driven by the success of Homefront. We have already shipped 2.6 million units, a solid start for this new franchise, which kicks off the strongest pipeline of AAA core games in our history.”
The publisher certainly is insistent about sequels. Guess that means we’ll be seeing more of Homefront soon.
