Split/Second developer Black Rock Studio’s layoffs are rumor no more. Parent company Disney has made the cuts formal, saying a “reduction of its workforce” at the UK-based studio is indeed taking place.
“Disney Interactive Studios confirms a reduction of its workforce from its Brighton-based internal game development studio, Black Rock Studios,” the publisher’s confirmed to EG. “The studio will continue its work on its current project.”
Disney didn’t go into numbers, though the anonymous source who broke the news previously said that around 100 jobs were at risk.
