GOG Spring update includes free Dragonsphere

Classic PC gaming site GOG.com is doing a bit of spring cleaning. That means that the digital download service will be getting a spring update, complete with a free game for all of its loyal users.

Dragonsphere, the Atari point-and-click classic, is now going for the grand total of absolutely nothing. Even if you’re not interested in the freebie, two major additions to this update make it worth checking out.

The first is a new downloader application that allows for multithreaded downloads for performance and automatic error checking. It will only run if the user is downloading from GOG. Personal Messages have also been added, allowing for both instant and private messaging. It should help to make GOG more of a social service.

Head to GOG for all the newness now.
