L.A. Noire is set to tell a dark story of the Los Angeles Police Department that deals with murder, interrogation, corruption, and other sinister actions.
To give us just a taste of how the fictional events of the game take inspiration from real-world 1940’s L.A., Rockstar have teamed up with daily newspaper L.A. Times to create something quite cool. On the Times website you can find a crime map of 1947 L.A., showing real crimes and their locations around the city in that one year. These crimes won’t appear in L.A. Noire, but you can bet they featured heavily in developer Team Bondi’s research. Make sure you check it out; it might help you when the game rolls around.
And roll around it will in about two weeks.
