More than any Rockstar game before it, the soundtrack is a big deal to L.A. Noire. Capturing the scores of the original noire flicks is going to be essential to really selling gamers on the setting.
Said soundtrack is going to be released via iTunes on May 17. Composer Andrew Harle, who was also behind the music for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, worked on the score at London’s Abbey Road studio, while several other artists will be performing modern takes on songs from the period.
A remixed soundtrack will also be available at the same time. It will include six classic jazz tracks that have been reworked by different DJs, producers and remixers.
They hit the same day as the game does in the US, and should arrive in Europe on May 20.
