According to Blomberg, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has issued subpoenas to Sony in the latest development of the ongoing PSN data theft.
A consumer protection probe will be started, looking to gather information on Sony’s handling of informing consumers about privacy protection. Sony hasn’t commented on the subpoenas itself.
This legal actions joins two class-action lawsuits already stacked up against the company as well as the recent inquiry from the US House Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade.
On the bright side, PSN looks like it’ll be back in a few days. Back on the dark side though, it looks like PSN could be attacked again in the next few days. Nail biting, isn’t it?
