Following a disheartening announcement from Sony about the time frame of getting PSN back up — placing its full return as far away as May 31 — community officials have emphasized that online play will be back up before the end of the month. One employee’s Twitter feed reads: “Once again, 31st May is the date for FULL restoration of PSN services. Restoration is phased. Online gaming will return BEFORE May 31st.”
Furthermore, Eurogamer are citing “trusted sources” in saying that the first phase of functionality will be back up in the next couple of days. That is, of course, pending Sony’s ability to fend itself from further attacks and get to the bottom of Sony Online Entertainment’s own woes.
Are we nearing the end of this long and somewhat depressing road? Fingers crossed.
