Konami are one of the few publishers out there that enjoy great success with handheld gaming, as sales for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker have proved. With the arrival of the 3DS and soon (hopefully) the NGP, the company has demonstrated its intention continue that success with new systems in a recent financial report.
A release calender shows four new 3DS games (Professional Baseball Spirits 2011, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, Project Loveplus, and Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D) to be release under Konami’s banner, spanning the remainder of this year and the next. Beyond the Labyrinth is also coming to Nintendo’s handheld, but currently doesn’t have a release date.
NGP games haven’t been announced yet, but they have been factored into this coming fiscal year. That means it’s very possible Konami will have a title or two ready for the systems launch; perhaps Hideo Kojima’s project that came with the system’s announcement months back.
