Modern Warfare 3 it is; while there’s still no official word from Activision, Kotaku’s covering a mighty sizable leak of assets and information from this year’s Call of Duty, leaving little room for imagination.
The game is said to kick off where Modern Warfare 2 left off and wrap up the Modern Warfare storyline. In the span of 15 single-player missions, players will be led through a dozen cities, including New York, Paris, London, Mogadishu, Prague and others.
The Spec Ops mode will make a return, along with a new Horde-like Survival mode where players must hold off waves of enemies.
There’s also a date to look forward to: November 8.
Overall, sources contributing to leak note that Modern Warfare 3 is expected to ‘reshape the landscape of the Call of Duty franchise,’ which certainly sounds ambitious enough.

Update: Infinity Ward’s Director of Communications and Community Manager Robert Bowling has said via Twitter that not all of the leaked information is accurate. “To avoid spoiling the experience, I’d wait for the real reveal,” he suggests.
