Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection koming to PSN/XBL

Sure, there’s a new Mortal Kombat out and it’s awesome. But say you don’t like shiny new 3D graphics. Say you really like motion-capture technology and classic 2D gameplay. Well, my friend, you’ll want to check out the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection coming to PSN (hopefully) and Xbox Live this summer. The title contains the original Mortal Kombat arcade games (the original, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3) all in one sexy, downloadable package.

The collection includes perfect ports of the original arcade classics, as well as online play, leadership boards, achievements and trophies. It’ll be 800 MS points ($10 roughly) on XBL and $9.99 on PSN, and is slated for late this summer. For the ultra hardcore arcade enthusiasts, GameStop is offering a bundle of Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Sticks just like the ones from the arcade cabinets, bundled with a code to download the Kollection for pre-order now for $129.99.
