Square Enix developing five new IPs

RPGsite.net has been doing a little digging on Square Enix’s annual financial report (which proved to be a bit of a disaster), coming up with some interesting info about what the company’s up to now.

According to the report, a total of five brand new IPs are currently being developed under the publisher’s wing. Two are coming from the Tokyo studio, one from Eidos Montreal, another from IO Interactive, and one from the new developer based in Wimbledon, London. Each of these devs is currently working away on projects for existing IPs too (Deus Ex: Human Revolution for Eidos and Hitman Absolution from IO), so we likely won’t see anything new from them until these other games are out.

Still, perhaps they have one or more surprises waiting for us at E3.
