During a recent Q&A session on Facebook, the age old question of whether or not the ridiculously good looking The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings — due out on PC tomorrow — would ever find its way to console audiences got some attention.
The RPG’s PC-only nature is not due to any financial nor technical reasons, a developer from the studio revealed. Instead: “We’re a studio that can’t focus on many projects at the same time.” And now that the PC version is practically out the door? “We’ll do our best to release console version later.”
While not a confirmation of it actually happening, the developer did make the studio’s commitment come through even louder and clearer later on: “TW2 IS PC NOW, BUT WE PROMISE TO TRY TO PUT IT ON CONSOLES!”
There have been a few reports on a possible console version prior to this, though we’ll take words direct from CD Projekt over a reported translation from a Polish TV show any day. Keep those fingers crossed then.
